MyCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering healthcare services. The role involves working under medical supervision to assist with examinations, procedures, and patient communications.

The position requires bilingual English/Spanish skills and a certificate in Medical Assisting, with a focus on documenting patient information, administering basic tests, and supporting a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology and safe clinical practices.
• Ability to document patient information and appointment notes accurately.
• Experience with basic patient interactions and triage under supervision.
• Knowledge of safety, HIPAA, and OSHA requirements in a clinic.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients’ chief complaints and document in the medical record.
• Assist with examinations and treatment preparations; document calls.
• Perform vital signs and basic tests; record results.
• Conduct tests such as EKGs, venipunctures, and urine analyses as directed.
• Support providers with injections, wound care, minor procedures, and exams.
• Maintain and stock patient rooms and labs; manage supplies.
• Transcribe orders and coordinate pharmacy communications.
• Inform patient of changes ordered by physicians.
• Manage patient flow and triage after check-in.
• Provide care under physician supervision as needed.
