Job summary

HOPE Clinic in Houston, TX seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support Family & Internal Medicine or Pediatrics. You will perform front-desk duties, collect specimens, document records, and assist providers with examinations under supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of a program of training for Medical Assistants is required.
• CMA or RMA certification is required or must obtain within 3 months probationary period.
• HIPAA privacy and confidentiality knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Competency in front desk, eligibility and check-out procedures.
• Place patients in exam rooms, obtain history and vital signs, and document in medical records.
• Assist in examinations and procedures for patients with providers.
• Provide immunizations, injections, and basic treatments as ordered.
• Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance throughout patient care.
