Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant is required.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs point-of-care laboratory tests and EKGs as ordered.
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories and screenings.
• Prepares patients, rooms and supplies for visits.
• Performs phlebotomy and correctly processes specimens.
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment.
• Administers PO, IM and ID medications as directed by the Provider.
• Provides patient instruction regarding medications and diet.
