Job summary

Rosalind Franklin STEM Elementary in Pasco, WA seeks a Bilingual Instructional Paraeducator to support instruction in a 180-day calendar setting. The role includes one-on-one and small-group lessons, classroom management support, and supervision during arrivals, departures, and transitions.

Qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent, bilingual (Spanish) proficiency, and either an associate degree or equivalent credits, or passing the paraeducator assessment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish) required.
• Associates degree (AAS, AA) or higher; 72 college quarter credits or 48 semester credits; or passing ETS paraeducator assessment.
• Prior paraeducator experience preferred but not required.
• Valid First aid and/or CPR for infants and children or willingness to obtain.
• Prior experience in a K-12 school setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid to provide emergency care.
• Provide one-on-one instruction or group instruction.
• Assist classroom teacher and/or building administrator(s) with classroom management.
• Assist with preparing materials needed to conduct lessons.
• Provide support or supervision of students during arrival, dismissal, recess, meals and transitions.
• Translate verbal and/or written information for the purpose of assisting students, district personnel, parents and/or guardians (Bilingual only).
• Maintain accurate student records in the district information system(s).
• Assist with reporting misconduct on school property and/or school bus routes.
