• Completion of Principles of Teaching and passing ParaPro or equivalent test.
• Ability to speak, read and write English and the language of the targeted ELLs.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance in home-language or small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Confer with teachers on programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Assist with evaluating student progress and communicate with parents.
• Assist with ESOL testing and placement data/records.
• Provide translation for non-English speaking parents and serve on ELL committee.
