Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred associate degree or 60 college credits; two years’ experience with children is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read and write English and Spanish (ELL).
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance in home-language or English for individual or small groups.
• Confer with teachers on programs and materials to meet student needs.
• Assist with ESOL testing and record keeping; provide translation for non-English speakers.
• Translate communications between home and school for non-English speaking parents.
• Participate in the school's ELL committee and ESOL Parent Advisory Councils as interpreter/translator.
