Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Claims Adjuster to support assigned public entity clients, exercising independent judgment on general liability claims, management, and settlements. Responsibilities include investigating liability, reserving, and communicating with claimants and attorneys.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 3+ years in insurance claims, with excellent written and verbal skills and fluency in Spanish.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and determine liability in personal, casualty, or property claims.
• Recommend actions and set reserves within guidelines.
• Communicate with claimants, clients, and attorneys throughout the claims process.
• Interview medical specialists, agents, witnesses, or claimants to gather information.
• Create and maintain records and reports in claims systems.
• Calculate benefits, negotiate settlements, and approve payments within monetary limits.
• Assist counsel in litigation preparation and assemble evidence.
