Job summary

St. David's Center for Child & Family Development in Minneapolis is seeking a Spanish-speaking Children's Therapist to join the Family Place program at Harman Center.

You will collaborate with Mental Health Professionals to plan and implement developmentally appropriate therapy and day treatment activities for young children (3-6) showing emotional and behavioral challenges. The role emphasizes weekly family sessions, supporting parents, and coordinating with the day treatment team to monitor

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family, or social work.
• Clinical Trainees (LGSW's, LAMFT, LPCC clinical trainees) will be considered if they have proven clinical experience with children and families that is clearly indicated on their resume.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with and under the supervision of Mental Health Professionals; support, plan and implement clinically informed and developmentally appropriate curriculum and a safe, effective day treatment environment.
• Provide mental health services to children and families consistent with ethical best practices and St. David's Center mission, vision and values.
• Provide weekly family skills and/or psychotherapy sessions to explore the impact of mental health issues on family relationships and improve parent-child interactions.
• Assist and collaborate with day treatment team to write and revise treatment plans and establish goals for each child; monitor progress and complete case notes and summaries.
• Participate in weekly team meetings, supervision, curriculum meetings, etc.
• Provide clinical coverage as assigned.
• Collaborates with team members to provide comprehensive day treatment services.
