Job summary

St. David's Center for Child & Family Development's Family Place program in Minneapolis is seeking a part-time helper to support young children (3.5–6) with emotional and behavioral challenges in a structured setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED + 8,000 hours of experience working with children
• Associates degree + 4,000 hours of experience working with children
• Bachelor's degree + 1,000 hours experience working with children
• Experience with early childhood population (3–6 years)
• Experience with children who display challenging behaviors
• Experience in a classroom/group care setting

• Assist in providing children with a structured, safe, therapeutic classroom environment
• Assist with classroom set up & clean up responsibilities
• Assist with curriculum preparation

Program Summary:

St. David's Center for Child & Family Development's Family Place program (Minneapolis) is an early intervention, Preschool Mental Health Day Treatment program for young children (3.5-6) who struggle to manage their emotions and behavior at home, within their childcare/school setting and/or the larger community. Some may have experienced trauma, an early loss of or lack of consistent caregivers, various forms of abuse/neglect or may have been asked to leave typical childcare settings. Family Place has been providing services for over 30 years!

Position Overview:

Job Qualifications:

Education
