Office of the Attorney General (OAG) - Child Support Division (CSD) in Texas seeks a dedicated Child Support Officer (CSO). You will conduct investigations to locate absent parents, help establish paternity, and obtain court orders for financial support and health care for children.

You will enforce orders, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with state agencies to serve Texas families, contributing to public service and work-life balance in a large state agency.

Formación

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred or substituted by experience in related fields.
• Proven interviewing and negotiation skills with customer service experience.
• Ability to use word processing and data entry applications; basic math skills.

Responsabilidades

• Locate absent parents and establish paternity.
• Obtain court orders for child support and health care coverage.
• Enforce child support orders and respond to inquiries from customers.
• Collaborate with state agencies and community organizations to serve Texas families.
• Provide accurate information and guidance to clients in person and by phone.
