Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains provides chaplaincy services to employees and their immediate families, serving as the frontline staff fulfilling the mission and Christian ministry of MCHAP. Chaplains visit client worksites regularly to interact with employees and offer confidential pastoral discussions as needed, including funerals and bereavement support.

Chaplains work in a field capacity, engaging with companies, employees, and communities to foster spiritual care and personal well-being.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interfaith setting and respect diverse beliefs.
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees and families.
• Ability to provide confidential pastoral discussions and guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Serve as messenger of faith and mission to employees and families.
• Visit worksites weekly to build trust and relationships.
• Provide confidential pastoral support for personal and family issues.
• Assist in planning/facilitating funerals and bereavement support.
• Coordinate referrals for specialized assistance when needed.
• Represent chaplain services to clients and employees.
