Job summary

Center Point DAAC is seeking passionate and experienced Certified Substance Abuse Counselors to join our outpatient team. You will provide counseling and education to chemically dependent individuals, promoting recovery and well-being.

The role includes direct treatment, weekly counseling, intake interviews, and documenting treatment plans with attention to HIPAA and regulatory standards. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, and you will work with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (College education is a plus).
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently (Spanish is a plus).
• Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients and staff.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Demonstrated counseling skills and knowledge of addiction and treatment.
• Maintain AOD certification and CEUs as required.
• Maintain productive work relationships with patients, employees, management, external agencies, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Direct Treatment: primary counselor to assigned clients and coordinate treatment.
• Provide weekly individual counseling sessions and additional sessions as needed.
• Conduct urine sample collections and monitor urinalysis testing.
• Document treatment evaluations and maintain patient files in compliance with regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and participate as a treatment team member.
• Assist in training and mentoring interns and counselors in training.
