Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa in Los Angeles is seeking a bilingual Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) to provide peer recovery support, housing navigation, outreach, and behavioral health services for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges.

The role offers hybrid remote flexibility with in-office work 1-2 days per week, plus benefits such as paid time off, health coverage, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
• Active California Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification through a DHCS-recognized program required.
• Lived experience overcoming mental health/substance-use challenges.
• Experience with homelessness in behavioral health, housing navigation, or peer support settings preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support, outreach, crisis intervention, wellness planning, and independent living skill development.
• Coordinate housing navigation and supportive services with multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver telehealth and in-person services as needed in the community, office, or clients’ homes.
