Job summary

Lutheran Social Services is seeking a Hybrid-Remote Certified Peer Specialist to join the Family Centered Treatment Team. The role supports clients with mental health and substance use challenges, delivering home-based, evidenced-based care with supervision and team collaboration.

The position is part-time (approximately 15 hours/week) at $18.50/hour, increasing to $20/hour after FCT training; bilingual Spanish speakers receive an additional $1/hour.

Qualifications

• Background check required by the employer.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years work experience with family systems, trauma, and/or SUD diagnoses preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; driving record checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct peer support using methods aligned with FCT principles.
• Attend weekly supervision and participate in peer reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record system.
• Collaborate with systems and participants to ensure buy-in for treatment.
• Support clients during visits and in community settings; travel as needed.
