Job summary

Molina Healthcare of Florida is hiring a Certified Peer Specialist to support members in the Northern Florida or Panhandle area. You will draw on lived experience to guide members, work with the FL Behavioral Health Team, and coordinate with case management.

Responsibilities include wellness support, education for members and families, documentation, and face-to-face visits as needed. Hours are Monday – Friday, during standard business hours.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year health care experience, preferably in a peer support capacity, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job related travel requirements.
• Knowledge of recovery processes and the ability to facilitate recovery using established standardized behavioral health processes.
• Ability to teach and engage in basic problem-solving strategies to support individual members in their self-directed recovery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task between phone and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support services for members with behavioral health needs/chemical dependency issues, collaborating with care teams to promote progress toward outcomes.
• Serves as peer support for members with behavioral health issues and related conditions.
• Advocates for members by providing information, resources, and peer support in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assists members in setting and pursuing recovery goals with care managers to determine steps needed to achieve them.
• Local travel may be required based on state/contractual requirements.
