Job summary

The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is seeking a Peer Specialist for the Healthy Minds program in Tampa, FL. This full-time, non-exempt role supports participants and families through recovery and access to community resources.

Reports to the Healthy Minds Program Manager within the Success 4 Kids and Families department. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a Certified Recovery Peer Specialist certification or willingness to obtain within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Recovery Peer Specialist certification or willingness to obtain within 120 days of hire.
• Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Strong analytical ability and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Respond to clients using agency policies and procedures.
• Advocate for services and resources for families.
• Assist in research activities required for grant sourcing and proposals.
• Conduct outreach to community partners to raise awareness of Healthy Minds.
• Maintain confidentiality and document case activity timely.
• Provide support to participants and their families.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, workshops and training.
