Job summary

Molina Healthcare of Florida is hiring a Certified Peer Specialist to support members in the Northern Florida or Panhandle area. The role involves leveraging lived experience to provide guidance, coordinating with the FL Behavioral Health Team and case management, and reaching out to caregivers.

Travel within local areas and documentation are required. Ideal candidates have peer support certification, a valid driver’s license, bilingual English/Spanish abilities, and experience with behavioral

Qualifications

At least 1 year health care experience, preferably in a peer support capacity.
Valid and unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and adequate auto insurance for job-related travel requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of community resources.
Knowledge of recovery processes and ability to facilitate recovery using established behavioral health processes.
Ability to multi-task between phone and various computer systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support services to members with behavioral health needs.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary care team to support member progress toward outcomes.
Call member caregivers and follow up on identified needs with the case manager.
Provide wellness and recovery education to members and families.
Document interactions and maintain accurate contact notes.
Conduct face-to-face visits as needed and travel within local area.
