Urban Health Plan seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish) for the Specialty Division at Plaza San Juan, Bronx, NY. The role supports multiple specialties and requires a CMA with bilingual skills, strong patient focus, and adaptability in a busy clinic.

Position is full-time at the Southern Boulevard Health Center, with 9am–6pm shifts, Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. Competitive benefits and on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• 1 year of related experience in healthcare.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Proficiency with computers and software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepares examination rooms, stocks inventory, maintains autoclave, and sterilizes instruments.
• Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and records in medical records.
• Assists providers during exams, treatments, and ambulatory procedures (including Podiatry).
• Registers and verifies patient demographics.
• Maintains room logs.
• Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.
