Job summary

Urban Health Plan in New York City seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (Bilingual English/Spanish) to join the Specialty Division at Plaza San Juan. Located on Southern Boulevard, the multi-specialty team supports Allergy, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry and Pulmonary Medicine.

The role requires a High School Diploma and a Medical Assistant certificate, plus 1 year in healthcare, with flexible hours and a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited program required.
1 year of related healthcare experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Flexible work schedule.
Proficiency with computers and software.

Responsibilities

Prepares examination rooms, stocks inventory, maintains autoclave, and sterilizes instruments.
Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and records in medical records.
Assists providers during exams and procedures (including podiatry).
Registers and verifies patient demographics.
Maintains room logs.
Schedules appointments and recalls patients for required services.
