Urban Health Plan in Bronx, NY is hiring multiple Medical Assistants including bilingual English/Spanish certified professionals for our Specialty Division at the Southern Boulevard Health Center.

As a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, you will prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, assist providers, and manage patient records across multiple specialties such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Nephrology. Full-time on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• 1 year of related experience in the healthcare sector.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Proficiency with computers and software.
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination rooms, stocks inventory, maintains autoclave, and sterilizes instruments.
• Obtains vital signs, chief complaint, and medical history and records accurately.
• Assists providers during exams and ambulatory procedures across specialties.
• Registers and verifies patient demographics.
• Maintains room logs and schedules appointments/recalls.
