Job summary

The Ground Up, Inc. (TGU) operates a retail front-line role in Houston, where you will deliver excellent customer service and accurate transaction processing. You will collaborate with team members to support daily store operations and learn sustainable product lines.

You will process cash, card, and check transactions, balance daily closeouts, and handle phones in a fast-paced environment. The position may involve travel between locations and requires reliability and adaptability.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in retail, customer service, or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently or as part of a team.
• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and friendly customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Process POS transactions accurately, including cash, credit card, and check handling.
• Perform monetary transactions with precision, including giving and receiving accurate change.
• Run daily reports and balance daily closeout to ensure financial accuracy.
• Answer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe, and secure work area.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of product line to assist customers effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to support store operations and achieve shared goals.
• Adapt to additional duties as needed to support the retail team and mission.
