Job summary

EDSI is seeking a Bilingual Career Development Specialist to provide individualized career development, case management, and community-based support in Reading, PA. The role ensures WIOA and program compliance, maintains accurate participant records, and coordinates services with workforce and community partners.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, is fluent in English and Spanish, and demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience in career counseling.
• Ability to adapt to changing program, contract, and organizational needs.
• Demonstrated effective telephone, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized assessments to identify barriers, skills, and opportunities; develop IEPs and development plans.
• Determine WIOA eligibility and complete enrollment and documentation.
• Coordinate referrals and services with community, social service, workforce, and supportive agencies.
• Coordinate participant activities and addresses attendance and participation challenges.
• Maintain confidential records and monitor progress and outcomes.
