Job summary

EDSI Solutions is seeking a Bilingual Career Development Specialist in Reading, PA to provide individualized career development, case management, and community-based support under WIOA. The role emphasizes bilingual English/Spanish communication, documentation, and coordination of services with workforce and social service agencies.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to contract and program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience in career counseling.
• Demonstrated effective telephone, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individualized assessments of participants’ employment, career development, and personal needs to identify barriers, skills, and opportunities; develop and monitor IEPs and career development plans.
• Determine WIOA eligibility and accurately complete enrollment and program documentation.
• Develop professional working relationships with participants, providing bilingual career development and support services.
• Provide referrals and coordinate services with community, social service, workforce, and supportive service agencies.
• Coordinate participant activities, workshops, training, and employment-related services; address attendance and participation to promote engagement.
• Maintain timely, accurate, organized, and confidential participant records and case notes.
• Collaborate with staff, workforce partners, employers, and funding agencies to coordinate services and support.
• Monitor participant progress and outcomes to meet program goals and contractual requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and special projects to enhance service delivery.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
