Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Call Center Representative I for a temporary 3-month contract. The role supports patient-centered telephonic service, with potential remote work after on-site training within San Diego or Riverside counties.

Responsibilities include handling calls, scheduling appointments, educating patients about programs, and entering accurate demographic data. Prior customer service experience and bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Arabic/English or Spanish/English bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staffs queue for one specific region — San Diego or Riverside.
• Answers telephone calls promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
• Informs patients about programs and portals and enrolls them where applicable.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments per guidelines and reschedules as needed.
• Educates patients on Neighborhood Healthcare programs including MyCare Portal and texting confirmations.
• Maintains professionalism with all patients, including upset or difficult individuals.
• Monitors provider schedules to maximize appointment utilization.
• Collaborates with clinic staff to resolve patient issues or concerns.
• Records accurate demographic information in ECW (address, phone, insurance, etc.).
• Directs calls to appropriate departments as needed.
• Escalates complex inquiries to supervisors when necessary.
• Meets call center KPIs: quality, handle time, adherence, accuracy.
