Job summary

Seneca has an opening for a Bilingual Behavioral Specialist in Concord, CA. You will provide intensive mental health services to children at risk, delivering behaviorally focused support to address target behaviors and empower families.

Full-time, in-person with occasional remote meetings. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have a relevant degree. Salary ranges from $29.26 to $31.76 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 403b, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required or equivalent experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Flexible schedule and valid driver license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain caseload of 3-6 clients.
  • Meet with clients and caregivers to provide time-limited, individualized, behaviorally focused mental health support.
  • Collaborate with treatment team to provide crisis intervention and mental health services.
  • Coordinate and implement services including assessment, treatment planning, and progress documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client records and complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in supervision and program meetings.

Description

As a Bilingual Behavioral Specialist , you will be directly with the client and their families/support networks to provide them with tangible skills specifically tailored to their strengths and needs to address target behaviors and help them feel empowered to take charge of their mental health treatment. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain caseload of 3-6 clients
  • Meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to provide time-limited, individualized, and behaviorally focused mental health support services to youth and their families to further treatment goals and ensure successful transition of clients and their families
  • Collaborate with the treatment team members to provide crisis intervention and mental health services
  • Cultivate relationships and maintain communication with all treatment team members including participation in treatment reviews, IEP meetings, and other client related meetings
  • Coordinate and implement overall services and treatment for assigned clients, including assessment, treatment planning, evaluation of progress, and termination
  • Complete treatment plans, functional behavioral assessments, progress notes, monthly reports, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and complete client charts and records to county and agency standards
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision and all program meetings and trainings
  • Maintain accurate paperwork including but not limited to time sheets and mileage reimbursement
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
  • Education/Experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree OR
    • Associate's degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience OR
    • High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience
      • Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families or working in the social services field
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
PREFERRED
  • Experience providing crisis assessment, management, and interventions
  • Experience writing progress notes and other therapeutic documentation
SCHEDULE
  • Full-time; Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
  • In person meeting with clients
  • Remotely can hold internal meetings and documentation
  • Driving all through Contra Costa County
