Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a Bilingual Behavioral Specialist to provide intensive, behaviorally focused mental health services to youth and their families. You will work directly with clients and caregivers to deliver customized skills and support for treatment planning, crisis intervention, and successful service transitions.

The role offers a full-time, hybrid schedule with in-person client meetings and internal remote work for documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Flexible schedule with occasional evening hours.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability.
  • TB test clearance and fingerprinting clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain caseload of 3-6 clients.
  • Meet with clients and caregivers regularly for time-limited, individualized support.
  • Collaborate with treatment team to provide crisis intervention.
  • Maintain communication with all treatment team members, including IEP meetings.
  • Coordinate services: assessment, treatment plan, progress eval, termination.
  • Complete treatment plans, progress notes, and monthly reports accurately.
  • Maintain client charts and records per county/agency standards.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and program meetings.
  • Maintain time sheets and mileage paperwork.

Skills

Bachelor's degree
Associate's degree + 1 year experience

Responsibilities
  • Maintain caseload of 3-6 clients
  • Meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to provide time-limited, individualized, and behaviorally focused mental health support services to youth and their families to further treatment goals and ensure successful transition of clients and their families
  • Collaborate with the treatment team members to provide crisis intervention and mental health services
  • Cultivate relationships and maintain communication with all treatment team members including participation in treatment reviews, IEP meetings, and other client related meetings
  • Coordinate and implement overall services and treatment for assigned clients, including assessment, treatment planning, evaluation of progress, and termination
  • Complete treatment plans, functional behavioral assessments, progress notes, monthly reports, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and complete client charts and records to county and agency standards
  • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision and all program meetings and trainings
  • Maintain accurate paperwork including but not limited to time sheets and mileage reimbursement
Qualifications
Required
  • Education/Experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree OR
    • Associate's degree or equivalent + 1 year of applicable experience OR
    • High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of applicable experience
      • Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families or working in the social services field
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evening hours as needed
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
Preferred
  • Experience providing crisis assessment, management, and interventions
  • Experience writing progress notes and other therapeutic documentation
SCHEDULE
  • Full-time; Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
  • Hybrid; Flexible work hours
    • In person meeting with clients
    • Remotely can hold internal meetings and documentation
    • Driving all through Contra Costa County
