Job summary

Clinica Romero seeks a Behavioral Health Practitioner to implement and promote a comprehensive behavioral health program in a community clinic setting. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, diagnostics, individual and group therapy, and case management while supervising trainees and collaborating with medical providers.

The role serves a largely Spanish-speaking, low-income immigrant population and includes crisis response duties, documentation, and active participation in staff development

Qualifications

• Leadership, collaboration and team-building skills are essential.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural, educational and economic backgrounds.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial mental health assessments of clients.
• Conduct individual, family and group therapy as appropriate.
• Supervise MFT/MSW interns and trainees when applicable.
• Provide crisis response to walk-in clients with medical coordination.
• Develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups.
• Coordinate inter-departmental communication for efficient service delivery.
