Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Michigan is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide a high level of service to retail and installer customers and to support store management in daily tasks.

You will greet customers, look up parts, quote prices, suggest related items, handle cash and card transactions, process returns, answer phone inquiries, stock shelves, and assist with in-store services such as wiper installation and battery checks; bilingual applicants are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time

Responsibilities

• Greet retail and installer customers and assist them in selecting merchandise
• Support store management and installer service specialists as needed
• Process exchanges and returns for credit following company policy
• Answer store phone calls, look up parts, quote prices, and promote related items
• Maintain cash drawer, accept payments, and process credit cards
• Perform daily stock tasks, shelf stocking, fronting, and planogram updates
• Provide in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries) where allowed by state law
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed
• All other duties as assigned
