Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist in Michigan to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers and to support store management in daily tasks.

Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply; responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise, cash handling, returns, and performing store operations. Training will be provided for equipment and in-store services.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers.
• Provide store training and customer support over the phone per policy.
• Handle cash, checks, credit card transactions, and make change.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy, and address complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves and cleaning.
• Perform daily operations like stock adjustments and inventory counts.
• Operate store equipment after training (e.g., brake lathe) and provide in-store services (wipers, batteries, codes).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
