Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers. The role supports store management in daily tasks and may involve bilingual communication to assist diverse customers.

Essential duties include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, processing payments, handling exchanges/returns, and performing in-store service operations as needed. Occasional delivery duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Promote company customer service programs and assist customers in selecting merchandise.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists for professional customers as needed.
• Answer store phone calls per policy, look up parts, quote prices, and offer related items.
• Maintain and secure cash drawer, process payments, and handle exchanges/returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with store operations, image updates, stocking, and inventory tasks.
• Operate store test equipment after training and meet requirements.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., install wipers, test batteries, diagnose vehicle codes).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
