Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers. The role supports store management and may require bilingual communication. You will greet customers, assist with parts selection, process transactions, and help maintain merchandising standards.

The position emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in parts lookup, and teamwork with management and service specialists. Training will be provided for store operations and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Promote company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot).
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists with professional customers as needed.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering calls, looking up parts and quoting prices, and offering related items.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit per policy.
• Maintain cash drawer and process transactions.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning.
• Operate store equipment after training (e.g., brake lathe) and perform in-store services.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if required.
• All other duties as assigned.
