Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson in Virginia to support the DIY business and achieve sales and service objectives. You will gain strong knowledge of store systems, parts, and automotive basics while sourcing from stores, hubs, and suppliers.

The role can be part-time or full-time, with fleet safety certification preferred. Key duties include assisting customers with product searches, performing DIY services, and maintaining inventory, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Use basic math for transactions and measurements.
• Ability to work a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries.
• Meet personal sales goals and help store achieve its targets.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper replacement.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory processes including put-away, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Keep store clean and organized; stock and deliver parts as needed.
• Operate inventory and POS systems and locate parts efficiently.
• Ensure safe handling and delivery of parts to customers.
• Test and diagnose basic equipment for DIY services.
