Job summary

Crim & Villalpando, P.C., a Houston-based personal injury law firm, is seeking a Spanish-speaking Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. We welcome applications from newly licensed attorneys and attorneys with litigation experience who are eager to develop their skills.

The Associate Attorney will handle cases from filing through resolution, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, prepare for mediations and court appearances, and negotiate settlements.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Spanish proficiency required.
• Newly licensed attorneys encouraged to apply.
• Personal injury experience preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn and develop litigation and trial skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from filing through settlement or trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Draft and argue motions.
• Assist in evaluating liability and damages.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trials.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case developments.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases toward resolution.
