Job summary

Stagg & Associates is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to manage a diverse caseload, perform thorough legal research, draft essential documents, and communicate with clients. You will represent clients in court proceedings as needed and collaborate with a supportive team in a growing firm.

The ideal candidate holds a J.D., is admitted to the Texas State Bar, and has 1–2 years of experience or is a qualified recent graduate.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 1–2 years of legal experience preferred; qualified recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain assigned caseloads from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes when appropriate.
• Prepare for and participate in trials and evidentiary hearings.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain accurate case files and comply with all court deadlines.
• Stay informed of changes in applicable laws and regulations.
