Job summary

Fong Ilagan, LLP is seeking a full-time bilingual Associate Attorney to join our immigration practice in Houston, TX. The candidate should have 1–2 years of immigration experience and be able to work with limited supervision while contributing collaboratively within a multicultural team.

The role focuses on family- and employment-based immigration, including NIV matters such as H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, and O-1. Excellent communication and client management skills are a must for success in this

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing to practice immigration law.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of family-based immigration experience; asylum and removal defense is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and client management abilities.
• Strong organization, research skills, and attention to detail; ability to work with a team.

In response to the continued growth of our immigration practice, Fong Ilagan is seeking a full-time Bilingual Associate Attorney to join our team. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Immigration Law. This position presents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic practice with a multicultural team. Candidates should be highly organized, dependable, and diligent, with the ability to work effectively with limited supervision and contribute collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• All matters pertaining to Immigration law, including but not limited to:
• Develop and implement case strategy
• Motions to Reopen/Reconsider
• Family based immigration
• Employment based immigration & NIV (H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, O-1)
• Research immigration law and procedures

Qualifications and requirements

• Licensed and in good standing to practice immigration law
• Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of Immigration law and regulations
• Minimum 1-2 years of Family-based Immigration; Asylum and Removal of Defense; Business Immigration experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and client management skills; bilingual English and Spanish required
• Strong organization and research skills with attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, collaborative mindset with a willingness to work with a supportive team
