National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support children's learning and development in a positive, nurturing environment in Aurora, Colorado. You will assist in developing lesson plans, monitor progress with educators, and work with individual children to promote growth.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in education or ECE, 2+ years as a Teacher Assistant, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in education or early childhood education required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Teacher Assistant or Paraprofessional in a classroom.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish; fluency in Spanish required.
• 21 years of age, valid state driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and good driving record.
• ECE certification preferred.
• Proficient with computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, fax machines, and copiers; able to use word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing lesson plans based on state requirements and students’ needs.
• Collaborate with educators to monitor academic progress.
• Deliver daily lesson plans and support classroom operations in teacher absence.
• Work with individual children to promote learning and development.
