Job summary

Groza Learning Center in Pomona, CA is seeking an experienced After School Class Instructor to deliver a Social and Emotional Learning program for students in grades K-8. This part-time role runs 15-20 hours per week with a 2 pm–6 pm schedule, Monday–Friday, at local school sites.

You will design engaging lessons, track progress, and communicate with families to close academic gaps. Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish, hold at least an associate degree (bachelor preferred), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree or two years of study acceptable.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching a class of ~20 students.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to work with neurodiverse students.
• Pass background check.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Mandated Reporting certification.
• Excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to various academic levels.
• Establish and achieve academic and social‑emotional goals with students.
• Document progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Maintain a supportive and motivating learning environment.
• Keep the classroom/work area organized and clean.
