Job summary

Children's Village in Yakima, WA is seeking a Certified Behavior Technician to deliver ABA services to children with ASD in home, school, and community settings. You will collect data, implement behavior support plans, and collaborate with a Licensed Behavior Analyst under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Analysis, Developmental Psychology, Special Education, or other relevant field preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with ASD and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Application for Certified Behavior Technician within one week of completing 40 hours of supervision/training by BCBA/LABA.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Right Response certification within six months of hire.
• FBI fingerprinting required within 45 days of hire.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred at level 9.
• Bilingual Differential Compensation with ALTA score 9.
• Ability to do data collection and graphing.
• Ability to engage with parents/teachers to implement behavior intervention protocols under LBA supervision.
• Ability to interact with patients, families and staff professionally.
• Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to manage stressful situations.
• Confidential handling of information.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake assessment, develop individualized program exemplars, and participate in data collection for FBA under supervision of LBA/LABA.
• Collect target behavior data, implement behavior reduction protocols, and implement alternative behaviors based on FBA.
• Implement individualized programs to maintain and generalize skills, provide interventions, and respond to aggressive/challenging behaviors.
• Participate in meetings for cross-system planning and collaboration with professionals.
• Collaborate with other CBTs to improve services.
• Complete all Behavioral Health Services (BHS) documentation as required.
• Perform duties aligned with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
