Job summary

Union Bank & Trust Company is seeking temporary bilingual Client Service Representatives to assist investors and financial advisors with 529 College Savings Plans. The contract runs through February 12, 2027, with potential for permanency based on performance and open positions.

Responsibilities include handling phone inquiries, processing transactions, explaining tax rules, and guiding clients through online portals while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• At least 2 years of Customer Service or Call Center experience strongly preferred.
• Spanish fluency required.
• Working knowledge of investments and/or 529 Plan rules or prior banking experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and in working with other financial software.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone assistance to investors and Financial Advisors' inquiries, discussing options and 529 rules.
• Process contributions, withdrawals, and investment changes in a timely manner, following applicable laws.
• Explain Federal and State tax laws related to 529 plans, deductions, credits, and penalties.
• Assist with 529 account information, verification, tax coding, account processes, rollovers, and mailings.
• Navigate callers through online access and troubleshoot website difficulties.
• Research and resolve complex inquiries using various tools and resources.
• Follow up with advisors and investors regarding incomplete paperwork.
