Job summary

Union Bank & Trust is seeking a temporary Client Service Representative in Lincoln, NE to assist investors and financial advisors by phone. The contract runs through February 12th 2027 with a possible permanent position based on performance and openings.

The role emphasizes accurate processing of transactions, adherence to 529 plan rules, and strong customer service. A hybrid work-from-home opportunity is available after onboarding, with regular training on 529 updates and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework completed or in progress preferred.
• At least 2 years of Customer Service or Call Center experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of investments and/or 529 Plan rules and regulations, or prior banking experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and in working with other financial software.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone assistance to investors and Financial Advisors’ inquiries. Discuss investment options, market performance, account information, and 529 rules.
• Process transactions from callers accurately and timely, including contributions, withdrawals, and investment changes, following 529 laws and tax rules.
• Convey Federal and State tax laws for 529 Plans, including deductions, penalties, credits, and rollovers.
• Assist with 529 College Savings account information, verification, tax coding, account changes, rollovers, and mailings.
• Navigate callers through online access and troubleshoot website difficulties.
• Research and use various tools to resolve complex inquiries and research information.
