Job summary

Specialized is seeking a Service Technician at Carytown Bicycle in Richmond, VA. You’ll be the front line for riders, translating needs into quick, high-quality tune-ups and repairs while delivering expert product knowledge and helpful, friendly service.

You’ll work with in-store and remote riders, uphold cleanliness, operate Lightspeed POS, and support bike sales with technical guidance. Weekend availability and physical stamina are required; you’ll lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Bike shop / bike mechanic experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with riders and team members.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to work weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet riders and identify needs, offering options from a service menu and tune-ups.
• Explain technical matters confidently and act as the expert.
• Assist customers with enthusiasm and provide exceptional service.
• Record service work orders accurately and schedule repairs.
• Assist with bike sales through technical consultation and floor duties.
