Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Bike Delivery Courier for our Upper West Side store at 405 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10024. You will be on the ground, delivering cookies and treats to fans with a focus on timely, friendly service.

The role requires time management, local area knowledge, and access to a smartphone and a non-motorized bicycle. Flexible part-time schedules and paid time off are among the perks, with pay on demand available and cookies for staff on shift.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the 1-mile radius surrounding the store is a plus.
• Must have a smartphone with data plan.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Check orders for quality and accuracy before they leave the store.
• Deliver cookies, milk and ice cream to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers.
• Use Insomnia’s delivery app to approved company standards and provide accurate status updates to customers.

As a Bike Delivery Courier at our Upper West Side store located at 405 Amsterdam Ave, New York NY 10024, you are our “Boots on the ground!”, and the main face that our Insomniacs see outside of the bakery! You give the word “Delivery” a whole new meaning by delivering the Cookie Magic to our fans wherever they are.

WHAT WILL I DO AS A DELIVERY COURIER?

• Check orders for quality and accuracy before they leave the store
• Deliver our cookies, milk and ice cream to our loyal fanbase, in a timely and safe fashion
• Provide quality customer service through positive and professional interaction with customers whether in-person or by phone
• Use Insomnia’s delivery app to approved company standards and provide accurate status updates to customers

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the 1-mile radius surrounding the store is a plus!
• Must have your own non-motorized bicycle in working order (electronic bikes are not permitted)
• Must have a smartphone with data plan
