Job summary

Big Night Entertainment Group is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe, welcoming environment at our venues in Boston. A typical shift involves greeting guests, verifying IDs, enforcing dress code rules, and carefully monitoring alcohol service to prevent issues before they arise.

You will be responsible for diffusing difficult situations, ensuring the safety of guests and staff, and executing other duties as assigned. A neat, professional appearance and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year security experience in a high-volume, upscale environment or nightclub.
• Must pass company background checks.
• TIPS or other alcohol certification preferred and may be required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• At least 1 year previous security experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage environment and/or nightclub
• Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
• TIPS or other recognized Alcohol Certification is preferred and will be required if chosen for the position
• You present a neat and professional appearance
• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
• You have flexibility with schedule which includes availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Proven ability to de-escalate issues
