What you will accomplish as a Bid Specialist at TAPCO
- Conduct thorough research to identify relevant bid opportunities across various platforms, portals, and networks in designated regional territories.
- Monitor and maintain an updated pipeline of upcoming and ongoing tenders and RFPs.
- Analyze tender requirements and assess their alignment with the company’s services, capabilities, and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for bid preparation and submission.
- Provide accurate quotes to customers on bid opportunities.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, procurement processes, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights.
- Maintain organized records of bid opportunities, deadlines, and submission statuses in the company CRM.
- Recommend bid/no‑bid decisions based on feasibility, profitability, and resource availability.
- Support the proposal development team and ensure all identified bids are communicated effectively and within established timelines.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bid search, business development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of procurement and tendering processes across various industries.
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using bid search platforms and software tools (e.g., [specific platforms/tools, if applicable]).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with government and corporate procurement regulations.
- Experience in preparing or contributing to bid proposals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
