Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher who is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a mature Christian faith aligned with the academy's Statement of Faith.

As a substitute, you will complete training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement the provided lesson plans, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, follow the discipline policy, take attendance, and communicate with volunteers and the teacher.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis; Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers
• Communicate with the teacher
