Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be capable of teaching LifeWise classes using provided lesson plans.

The role requires completing substitute teacher training, maintaining a disciplined, safe classroom, and reporting attendance to the supervising teacher. Community engagement and collaboration with volunteers are also expected.

Qualifications

• Active church participation in alignment with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teaching students.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis using LifeWise curriculum.
• Implement lesson plans provided by the LifeWise teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Keep classroom clean, well-ordered and prepared for emergencies.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and coordinate with volunteers.
