Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks qualified substitute teachers who demonstrate Biblical knowledge and strong communication, with active church involvement.

You will complete training, deliver LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe classroom, follow discipline policy, keep attendance, and report to the classroom teacher while serving as a community ambassador.

The role requires a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs and ongoing participation in a local church.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
