Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers to deliver LifeWise classes using provided curricula. Ideal candidates are active church members with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

The role involves completing substitute training, teaching on an as-needed basis, reporting attendance, and coordinating with the teacher and volunteers to ensure smooth lesson delivery in a faith-based setting.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum as provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, well-ordered classroom and be prepared for emergencies.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher.
