Job summary

Flyover Attractions, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to own the data platform end-to-end. You will ingest POS data, build Fabric pipelines, and deliver Power BI dashboards for daily reporting. The role blends data engineering with Level 1 IT tasks on-site, on a hybrid schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BI/data engineering experience, strong SQL and DAX skills, and hands-on Fabric/Synapse expertise. Collaboration with Revenue, Finance, and IT is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or BI with data pipelines ownership
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse/warehouse) or Synapse/Azure SQL
• SQL Server on-prem administration: backups, patching, tuning
• Experience with transactional data from ticketing or POS systems
• Python/PySpark and Git experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines ingesting POS data into Fabric
• Architect Fabric lakehouse with bronze/silver/gold layers and manage security
• Oversee on-prem SQL Server footprint: backups, upgrades, performance
• Create star schemas and DAX measures for core metrics
• Build Power BI dashboards with stakeholders; manage Power BI service
• Collaborate with Revenue Manager and Finance to translate needs into data solutions
• Set data standards, document processes, evaluate Fabric capabilities
• Handle occasional Level 1 IT tasks on site (≤4 hours/week)
• Other duties as assigned
