Job summary

CAMBA is hiring a Peer Navigator in Brooklyn, NY to maintain confidential relationships with clients, perform outreach, document progress, and assist in coordinating peer support events. The role emphasizes empathy, integrity, and collaboration with counselors and staff to help clients achieve self-sufficiency.

The position is full-time at 35 hours weekly with benefits including health and dental insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and holidays. Bilingual Spanish skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree with 1 year of case management or related field, or equivalent.
• High School Diploma with 2 years in case management or related field.
• Three years of experience in case management or related field.
• Certified Peer Specialist through the NYS AIDS Institute Peer Worker Certification Program
• Bi-lingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure confidentiality.
• Input client data into automated database and prepare reports.
• Conduct outreach to recruit and re-engage clients.
• Escort clients to appointments and support self-sufficiency goals.
• Coordinate and facilitate peer support events and group activities
